Goodbye Two Zero Nine Mastering, and hello GL Mastering at glmastering.com

Hi all, Graeme here

Just wanted to update you on some planned changes between now and April 2026.

In the last few months I have started putting in place a rebrand & transition from Two Zero Nine Mastering, over to GL Mastering. The change will complete by April 2026. Hopefully the FAQ's will be helpful!

Why?

Two Zero Nine has been my project for a verrrrry long time. Way before I got into mastering. Originally I wanted to be a composer, writing music for video games & film etc, and I had a page called The 209 project (as I didn't have an artist name and wanted to keep things a bit low key while I worked stuff out). Eventually, I moved into mastering and used the name as my studio name! And while it's been a blast having a studio and working under the name, all of my credits are under my name (Graeme Lynch), and not the studio. So it always becomes a bit confusing when people are trying to find me, work with me, credit me etc. So i'm moving to GL Mastering, or Graeme Lynch Mastering, and instead of being a studio, i'll just be me.

What (will happen to Two Zero Nine Mastering)?

The 209 name will eventually cease to exist, and will permanently become GL Mastering. I have a new booking form, all invoicing will be changed over etc, and the website will eventually just redirect to my new 'one page' interactive CV that I can keep updated. Everything else will be the same. Same studio location, same equipment, same person doing the mastering (me...). It's just a name change.

When (will it happen)?

By April 2026 it'll all be changed over.

Where (are you going to work from)?

Nothing physically, or logistically, will change (other than the name). I'll still be working from Kempston Street Studios.

How (will everything change)?

The mastering side of things, in short, it won't. The rebrand of it all, the name along with the website & social media handles etc, will. I'm still enjoying mastering and working on so much cool music! I just want to be able to work as me and not have the studio and mismatched credits confusing people.

You will still be able to visit twozeronine.co.uk while the transition takes place, but there will be a redirect put in place soon which will point you over to my new website glmastering.com where you can see my work, and contact me about bookings etc.

Thanks everyone! It's been a blast so far and I'm excited for whats to come!

Graeme
